Chandrayan Launch on Radio Mirchi Chennai

Trai extends date for comments on media ownership

NEW DELHI: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has extended to 10 November the last date of receipt of comments on its consultation paper on media ownership. The deadline, originally set for 24 October, has been extended following requests from some stakeholders and 'keeping in view the importance of the issue and the need for wider participation of stakeholders in the consultation process'.

Raghu Dixit turns composer for Kannada movies

MUMBAI: After the launch of his solo album by nouveau label �Vishal & Shekhar Music', Bengaluru based composer cum singer Raghu Dixit has his hands full with composing for three Kannada films. The music for his first Kannada film, �Psycho' directed by Devadatta V, was released last May and is still ruling the charts. My debut Kannada composition was well received by the audiences with one ringtone of the track, �Mahadeswara' downloaded by 3,00,000 people in two months," claims the singer.

BBC sees big boost in radio listenership

MUMBAI: BBC saw strong performances across its portfolio of speech and music stations in a good quarter for radio listening, according to data released by Rajar (Radio Joint Audience Research). Radios 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 live all showed increases in reach year-on-year, complemented by record performances from three digital-only networks - BBC Radio 7, 1Xtra and 5 Live Sports Extra.
