"Baaki" is more than a song; it's an intimate dialogue between two lovers standing at the crossroads of their relationship. The lyrics, penned by the incredibly talented Rajan Batra, breathe life into the emotions of these individuals, laying bare their hearts' turmoil and their burning desire to rekindle their love. Shalmali Kholgade, in collaboration with Rajan Batra, has poured her heart and soul into crafting this musical journey, ensuring it resonates deeply with every listener. This song transcends boundaries, promising to touch the soul of anyone who hears it.

In her own words, Shalmali reveals the origin of "Baaki", "I always believed I'd find the right person to complete this song I began writing back in 2016. It was an English song I titled 'Down and Up,' with missing pieces that I hoped someone would fill in with their unique perspective. Rajan stepped in and did just that and more. The way he's captured a man's emotions after a dispute with his beloved is nothing short of beautiful. 'Baaki' is bound to be one of my most cherished songwriting experiences."

Rajan shared his experience working on the song,"Sometimes, you meet people and their energy is so effective that it doesn't take much time for you to tune into their aura . I remember when I met Shalmali, we hung out and spoke about life and all things art and heart, played some piano and sang and then suddenly , in all that synergy , she showed me this song she wrote a few years ago about a fight she had with a loved one and how she felt in that moment . I remember hearing the song once and being so much in sync with the emotion that I knew what to say , right away. Haha , like they say , sometimes , we find our own emotions in someone's expression.

BAAKI is always going to be a very special experience." "Baaki" beckons you to dive deep into the unfiltered, unadulterated emotions of love.
