Dilbagh Singh gives Mika Singh credit for his stage skills

MUMBAI: Singer Dilbagh Singh has a simple dream- to make his project 'I am Singh Dilbagh' famous so he can be better known as a brand. In order to achieve this, he plans on releasing his six singles under six different banners.

For the first single 'Thodi Jinni Peeti hai', which has already been released, he partnered with Saregama. He revealed that for the second single, he has signed deal with Venus. Singh said, "I have partnered with other label companies for third and fourth single as well. For my fifth and sixth single, I am in talks with label companies."

He believes that he makes commercial tracks that cater to the audience and their daily life. "I am different in my style. I also enjoy experimenting with music and introducing new elements that are unique and appealing." He was saying this in reference of his third single 'Bottoms Up' which according to him will be influenced by progressive house music.

Three videos have been shot and he is busy filming the fourth music video. Singh performs for more than 110 shows and concerts throughout the year in India and overseas. He started his musical career through live performances with Mika Singh (Dilbagh opened most of Mika's gigs for more than seven years). Till date, he has maintained a brotherly relation with Mika. "I have become a live performer because of Mika. I feel more than happy that I learnt and lived the life of a performer with him. He taught me a style that is different. We meet very often. He will feature in the third music video," stressed Singh.

The inspiration for his first single 'Thodi Jinni Peeti hai' is derived from the track 'Thodi Si Jo Pee Li Hai' featuring Amitabh Bachchan. As he hums the tune of 'Thodi Si Jo Pee Li Hai', he said, "I always wanted to make a Punjabi version for the track and I have finally achieved it. My track caters to the youth and I would like doing songs for them."

He also stated that he has tried to revive the Pop culture that is otherwise dying because of Bollywood. Singh also stated that he is getting Bollywood offers but he is taking it slow."

He has performed in about 1000 plus shows in India and abroad with Mika Singh in the last 8 years, and has presented shows in Hindi, Rajasthani, Bhojpuri, Haryanvi and Punjabi languages.
