Jennifer Lopez plans American Idol return

MUMBAI: Having quit the show as a judge after its 11th season, Latin pop singer Jennifer Lopez is reportedly planning a return as jury member on the next season of the singing reality show American Idol. The singer-actress stated that she is open to reprising her role of a judge on American Idol but is not sure what has been decided. She refused to divulge details on whether she has been approached to be part of the show's judging panel.

Rapper 2 Chainz held for drug possession

MUMBAI: Music and drugs have had a long history together with many musicians known to consume drugs for various reasons. While the matter had subsided a bit in the past, it has resurfaced again as popular rapper 2 Chainz was held at the Los Angeles International Airport for possession of marijuana. The ‘Birthday Song’ rapper was charged with felony narcotics possession. He was reportedly in possession of Promethazine, one of the main ingredients in sizzurp. Police also found weed on the 35-year-old rapper whose real name is Tauheed Epps.

Grammy to exhibit Beatles drummer Starr's artifacts

MUMBAI: In a first, the Grammy Museum will dedicate an exhibit for a drummer. The museum’s new ‘Ringo: Peace and Love’ exhibit will put on display Beatles drummer Ringo Starr’s personal and professional artifacts. Artifacts on display, some donated by Starr 72, include the Beatles drum-set he used on the Ed Sullivan show, costumes from Sgt. Pepper’s album cover, memorabilia from the height of ‘Beatlemania’, beginning with the band's August 1965 performance at New York's Shea Stadium, which was attended by 55,600 people.
