MUMBAI: Music channel PTC Punjabi has announced the second edition of the PTC Punjabi Music Awards 2010. The awards recognise the the best of the year's Punjabi Music - the singers, the music composers, the choreographers. The award ceremony which took place in Jalandhar, Punjab last year is likely to be held in March this year. "The venue and the final dates are yet to be zeroed on," says PTC Network head sales and marketing Anubhav Nath.

read moreMUMBAI: The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) appointed Javad Mottaghi as the next ABU Secretary-General. Mottaghi is currently Director of the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD). He succeeds David Astley, who has been Secretary-General since July 2002. Mr Astley is leaving the ABU at the end of June but Mottaghi's starting date is yet to be announced.
