MUMBAI: “Eid is always about the first glimpse of moon and that’s when you start celebrating with your family and friends,” explains Shilpa Rao, who released the cover song, Chand Nikle.
Speaking about the ghazal, Shilpa says, “This ghazal talks about the first glimpse of moon and the following celebration. It is written by the great poet Faizal Ahmad Faiz. The song has a very beautiful tune, which is why, I chose to sing it.”
“This song is my return thank you to all the people in Mumbai for all the love, they have shown to me,” the Khuda Jane singer adds.
