Dwayne Bravo 'skores' for a condom brand's latest initiative

MUMBAI: Carribean cricketers Dwayne Bravo and Chris Gayle dancing to the self-composed tune of ‘Champion’ went viral a few months ago, and how. The extremely-catchy tune will now receive an ‘desi’ treatment to its sound for a commercial concerning one of the leading condom brands in the country.

The music video for ‘Skore’ condoms leading the initiative for the new concept concerning a series of condoms will be launched soon. This would be the brand’s first ever music video for the promotional and marketing purposes. Sung by Bravo, the music video will release by the end of 3 September.

General Manager at Marketing, Skore Condoms, Vishal Vyas confirmed the West Indian cricketers’ involvement for the project. “New kinds of condoms would be launched by the company. And the music video marks the company’s first ever effort (revolving around a music video) for its promotional activities. Sonic wise, there would be certain Indian elements to the song.”

The brand announced the launch of three new variants – Zig Zag, Skin Thin and Timeless.

The fact that music has a universal appeal, added Vyas, acted as a vital reason behind the necessity of adopting this approach. The existing popularity of the ‘Champion’ track help’s the brand’s intent further. With these elements – a music video, relevant celeb cricketers and popular song – Skore condoms would surely appeal to the youth.
