Justin Bieber accused of alleged robbery reports Los Angeles police

MUMBAI: Canadian crooner Justin Bieber is already facing DUI and felony charges, but his legal woes are far from over. On Tuesday night, LA police said that the 20 year old has been accused of robbery, but has not yet been arrested.

According to reports, the unnamed victim told police that the 'Boyfriend' singer reached into her bag and tried to take her phone. TMZ reports that Bieber assumed she had taken pictures of him while at a mini golf course. The incident is said to have taken place in the city's Van Nuys area at around 10.30 pm on Monday night.

Police said, “As of right now, no arrest has been made and detectives are currently interviewing the victim.” The incident was reported to the police on Tuesday night; however, no other information has been disclosed.

The alleged robbery is the latest in a string of legal issues that the troubled popstar is facing. About three weeks ago the singer was detained and questioned by customs officers for four hours at Los Angeles International Airport on his return from Asia. He is also being investigated on felony charges for allegedly throwing eggs at a neighbour's house, which resulted in $20,000 in damages. The 'Baby' singer will also face trial in July for a DUI incident that happened in Miami earlier this year.

Bieber's bad reputation has no doubt affected his public image. Last month, he was booed by audience at the Juno Awards in Canada, when his name was called out for winning the Fan's Choice award. Although he was not present to witness the ill reception first hand, he did attract some more booing from the crowd at a basketball game in Los Angeles, which he attended with his mother on Sunday.
