Sonu Kakkar and her Sean Kingston connection

MUMBAI: Bollywood singer and Coke Studio famed Sonu Kakkar has added yet another feather to her cap by singing lines for the track 'U N Me', which is a collaboration of Sri Lanka based Iraj and Jamaican-American artiste Sean Kingston. The track also features Punjabi rapper Bohemia and songstress Janani.

Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, Kakkar said, "I am very excited that I got to work with artistes like Sean Kingston. Music composer Iraj enjoyed my work and invited me to become part of the track and I whole heartedly accepted the offer."

She finished her recording in India. Her part was written and composed by her brother Tony Kakkar. "Previously, I received the 'Best Indie Artist' award at MTV VMA India in 2013 for the track written, composed and directed by my brother Tony. I am working with him again and am looking forward to the response from the track," Kakkar said.

The chorus sung by Sonu is in Hindi. She also hinted that the there will be a video for the track which will go on floor next month. She added that being part of this project has helped boost her confidence as the music composer believed her previous work.

Iraj is renowned for his hip-hop work in Sri lanka. His debut album 'Iraj' and his follow up album – 'Chapter Two Aloke' gained popularity amongst the masses. Iraj is also the first Sri Lankan music artist to have entered the Kollywood music Industry.

'U N Me' will be out soon via iTunes, Google Play and Amazon MP3.
