MUMBAI: His singing skills were applauded for the song 'Dhat Teri Ki' from the film 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein' and now he is back with a bang with 'Ishq Bulaava' from the film 'Hasee Toh Phasee'. Here we are talking about the very versatile Sanam Puri who rocked the chartbusters with his debut performance.

Talking about his latest track in the film starring Parineeti Chopra and Siddharth Malhotra, the singer says that he is extremely delighted to lend his voice for the track.“After my debut song, composers called me to sing for fast beat and party numbers but this Punjabi Sufi song is different from the rest. I was thrilled that I was doing something unusual.”Narrating the story of how did the song happen, he says, “I was going to my rehearsal and that is when the music geniuses (Vishal-Shekhar) called me up and played me the song. And of course, I fell in love with it and immediately agreed to do the song. The recording of the same happened in the wee hours of the night.” The soundtrack of the film is given by Vishal-Shekhar and the lyrics are pened by Kumaar and Amitabh Bhattacharya. The singer has in the past worked with the duo music director for 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein'.

A single called Drama Queen sung by Vishal Dadlani and Shreya Ghoshal was launched recently. A teaser of the song Zehnaseeb sung by Chinmayi Sripaada along with Vishal was launched on 2 January 2014. The film is slated to hit the silver screens on 7 February 2014. It is a romantic comedy Hindi film directed by Vinil Mathew and produced by Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap.
