Big FM Bhopal's 53 hour Radio marathon against 'female infanticide'

BIG 92.7 FM's Bhopal Station in a unique and first-of-its-kind initiative to promote the cause of the girl child and fight female infanticide hosted a 53 hour radio marathon promoting the cause. The non-stop marathon, hosted by breakfast jock RJ Mansi, touched upon points that brought to light the ill-practice against the girl child and promoted the benefits of the girl child

Indian American makes it to American Idol final 13

MUMBAI: Indian American Anoop Desai has bagged a spot as one of the top 13 finalists of the ongoing American Idol, in the popular music reality show's wild card round. The 22 year old college student from Chapel Hill, North Carolina auditioned for season eight of American Idol in Kansas City where he sang Thank You... in shorts and flip-flops.

MUMBAI: Only Much Louder director Vijay Nair was adjudged British Council's Young Music Entrepreneur 2009 on 10 March at a function hosted by British Council in association with the Rolling Stones in Mumbai.
