Saurabh Kanwar puts in his papers at Channel [V]

MUMBAI: Saurabh Kanwar, Channel [V] vice president - content and communication, has put in his papers after a stint of over three years with the organisation. Currently serving his notice period, Kanwar 's term at the channel will end in October. Confirming the development with Indiantelevision.com, Kanwar said, "Yes, I have put in my papers at Channel [V]. I will be heading towards the social media and web 2.0 circuit once I have completed my term here at Channel [V] in October."

AIR Lucknow show gets Unicef award

MUMBAI: All India Radio Lucknow's broadcast on the hopes and dreams of rag pickers and homeless children has won the International Children Day of Broadcasting (ICDB) Regional Award announced by the Unicef. Unicef gives the awards for outstanding commitment to the ICDB by television and radio broadcasters, and encourages young people to get involved in television and radio broadcasting. The 2009 ICDB theme, Unite for Children: Tune in to Kids,... asked children to explore what they care about and what are their values, fears and dreams.

India brings home three bronze Spikes

MUMBAI: All the three shortlisted entries in the radio category have bagged bronzes at Spikes Asia. Bates141 Mumbai took home the bronzes for both its Virgin Mobile campaigns - 'Old Man' and 'Terms and Conditions', while DDB Mudra Mumbai's work 'Bush' on the Islamic Research Foundation proved its worth again by cornering a bronze. Of the five radio entries India had sent to the Spikes, three made it to the shortlist and all three managed bronzes. There were no Grands Prix or Gold Spikes awarded in the Radio category.

Big Live teams with MyBand for Hyderabad concert

Sony Music condones Emraan Hashmi on Tum Mile issue

MUMBAI: Earlier this week, actor Emraan Hashmi, in his excitement, ended up revealing the first look of the film 'Tum Mile' on his Twitter account. According to Sony Music's earlier plans, the music launch of the film was to be coincided with the music release on 17 September. Sony Music has now postponed the release to early next week.
