Ankit Tiwari talks about his track in the film Kaanchi

MUMBAI: He has already walked away with a number of awards for the song 'Sun Raha Hai Na Tu' from the film 'Aashiqui 2'. However, more than obsessing over the outcomes, Ankit Tiwari's first priority is to enjoy his work.

"I want to be happy with the work I do. I do not want to eat more than I can chew," said the singer/ composer to Radioandmusic.com's Dhairya Ingle. Tiwari has also rendered his voice for the track 'Kaisa Hai Mera Dard' from Subhash Ghai's upcoming film 'Kaanchi'.

Talking about the process of recording the track, Tiwari said, "When I went to record the track, the first thing I saw was Subhash Ghai and Ismail Darbar sitting and talking about the song. Looking at these two aces, I got nervous since both of them are renowned for their work. But both of them were kind enough to praise me, which actually boosted my confidence. No sooner had I sung the 'alaap' of the song, Subhashji asked me to dub the track. The song is actually about a son calling out to his mother expressing his pain." Tiwari recalls it as a beautiful and an unforgettable experience.

"Working with Subhash Ghai and Ismail Darbar was a dream come true for me. The best part was that they knew my work very well," exclaimed Tiwari.

Tiwari has composed a couple of songs for the film 'Saamrat & Co', 'The Villian', 'Bhaag Johny' and 'Mr. X'.
