Intex Aqua Octa smartphone unveiled

MUMBAI: Domestic handset maker Intex has revealed a dual-SIM phablet Intex Aqua Octa in the India market. Intex had launched its first octa-core smartphone prototype during an event in November 2013.

The phone sports 6-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD OGS (One-Glass Solution) IPS display, android 4.2 Jelly Bean, MediaTek's MT6592 octa-core chipset, 1.7GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, expandable memory up to 32GB via microSD card, 13MP camera with an LED flash, 5 MP front camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, micro-USB, Bluetooth and 2300mAh battery.

Intex Technologies Ltd mobile business head Sanjay Kumar Kalirona said, "The launch of 'Aqua Octa' reinforces our brand's promise to bring premium smart devices at the leading edge of technology, to improve the quality of life of people at large."

The phablet is priced at Rs. 19,999. It will be available from 15 January at 40,000 plus retail outlets, more than 42 Intex Square, several hypermarkets and other online stores.
