MUMBAI: Due to respiratory and renal problems, Aye Meri Zoharajabi famed legendary singer Manna Dey is hospitalised. Hospital authorities say his condition is improving

This is the second time in five months that Dey has been hospitalised with the same problems. As per reports, the hospital issued a statement stating," Manna Dey is off ventillator, awake, alert, conscious and undergoing dialysis. He has shown lot of improvement.”

Narayana Hrudayalaya hospital spokesperson said. "The Hindi playback singer was admitted last week for respiratory and renal problems,"

Dadasaheb Phalke awardee was in the same hospital for about 20 days in May and again in June. Dey sung nearly 3,500 songs in Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada and Assamese films. He started his playback career with 1943 film Tamanna.

Padma Bhushan winner has given hit numbers like Puchho Na Kaise, Aye Meri Zoharajabi, Laga Chunri Mein Daag and Pyaar Hua Ikrar Hua.
