Speak Now's record, million-selling debut

MUMBAI : With 1,046,718 copies sold in the US in the first week of release, Taylor Swift's �Speak Now' album has scored Sound Scan's biggest single week sales in total since 2005 and is the biggest debuting studio album in history. Speak Now accounted for 18% of total albums sold last week, setting a new record for percentage of total sales in a single week. One out of every five CDs or download sales this week was Taylor's Speak Now album, which was released on Big Machine Records.

Indigo contest winner headed to Goa's Indian Music Conference

BANGALORE: Radio Indigo Bangalore announced Rhea Vieaas as the winner by a draw of lots to go for an all-expenses-paid trip to the Indian Music Conference being held at Goa from November 17 to 20. Radio Indigo had shortlisted those listeners who were among the ninth callers each on a daily show from October 25. Indian Music Conference is a 4-day event where more than 230 national and international artists will perform. Thermal and a Quarter, Raghu Dixit Project and rock band Kryptos are representing Bengaluru at the festival.
