Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato win big at 2014 Disney Radio Music Awards

MUMBAI: Despite her private life being rather tumultuous at the moment, pop singer Selena Gomez took home the most awards at the 2014 Radio Disney Music Awards. The former Disney starlet bagged three awards at the ceremony for the categories- Disney's Most Talked About Artist, Best Song to Dance to (Birthday) and Song of the Year (Come & Get It).

The awards which were held in Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre on 26 April also saw country/ pop singer/ songwriter Taylor Swift take home two gongs- one for Best Musical Collaboration for 'Everything has Changed' which featured Ed Sheeran, and the other for Fiercest Fans (Swifties ), after which hr fandom is named.

Along with Swift, Demi Lovato who is also a former Disney actor nabbed two awards. The 'Give Your Heart a Break' singer won in the Best Female Artist category and her track 'Made in the USA' won Favourite Roadtrip Song. American girl group, Fifth Harmony who shot to fame on 'The X Factor' also won two awards for Breakout Artist of the Year and Best Song to Rock Out to With Your BFF (Me & My Girls).

Other winners at the Radio Disney Music Awards include pop singer Justin Timberlake for Best Male Artist, UK boy band One Direction for Best Music Group, Paramore for Best Crush Song (Still Into You) and Ariana Grande for Best Disney Chart Topper.

Another popular Disney name- Britney Spears also won an award for Best Song that Makes You Smile (Ooh La La), while Catchiest Song went to 'The Fox (What Does the Fox Say) by Ylvis. Oscar winning 'Let It Go' from the animated film Frozen won Favourite Song from a Movie or TV Show, and 'Hips Don't Lie' singer Shakira won the Hero Award for all her charity work.
