April Fools' Day prank campaign on Radio

NEW DELHI: After a successful execution of the Cinema prank during last year's April Fools' Day, popular chewing gum brand Chingles is back this year with a brand new prank. The prank campaign is called 'Prank Batao Smartphone Le Jao'.

Chingles has tied up with Radio Mirchi FM, and through this platform, it hopes to pull a prank which will help them further strengthen and own the Prank platform of Chingles.

The prank is for listeners in Delhi NCR, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad from 30 March to 2 April.

In this activity, Radio Jockeys (RJ's) of Radio Mirchi will ask listeners to share their ideas for playing a prank with their favourite celebrities and known personalities and win smart phones.Listeners must send these ideas through SMSs. RJs will then select and call the winners to the Radio Mirchi office and present them with gifts. In the process RJs will play pranks on the listeners in 'Chingles' style. The best prank ideas shared with Radio Mirchi will win smartphones.

The contest has been extended to the Chingles Facebook page, and ends on 31 March.

The brand 'Chingles had recently announced the launch of a campaign for the new 'Tutti-frutti' flavour from Chingles, the refreshing mini gums. The campaign is based around characters called 'Lee brothers' with a tagline 'Aaj Lee Kya?' The TVC went on air on 20 March. On the Facebook page, the same characters are promoting the prank campaign. The prank campaign will help the brand promote their product on the occasion of April Fools' day.
