Radio One hikes ad rates by 30 per cent

MUMBAI: After consolidating its position at number two in the Pune market, Radio One has increased its ad rates by 30 per cent with an aim to build up on positioning. The move comes as a result of the 20 per cent year-on-year growth that the station claims to have achieved in Pune, even as radio spends in the city have grown by five per cent of the media buys in the last 10 years.

T-Series negotiates with Saavn over terminated deal

MUMBAI:  Music giant T-series who terminated its content deal with digital distributor South Asian Audio Visual Network (Saavn) is negotiating an amiable solution to the deadlock. The label, who claimed that the agreement was dropped due to breach in the contract clause, is in process to come-up with a solution to persist their deal. Confirming the news with Radioandmusic.com, T-Series president Neeraj Kalyan said, “Although the agreement deal was terminated we are negotiating an amiable solution to the deadlock.”

MUMBAI: The 59th Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has announced its shortlists for Radio Lions with two Indian entries making the cut. Leo Burnett’s ‘Punishment’ for Strand Book Stall and McCann Worldgroup India’s ‘Delay’ for Lasky Herbal have been shortlisted.
