Ankit Tiwari: I am prepared for both positive and negative responses

MUMBAI:  Ankit Tiwari is super busy these days. From performing for MTV Bollyland recently in Nagpur to juggling with his composing and singing projects, the 'Sun Raha Hai Na Tu' singer is extremely tied up. Recently the singer composer also lent his vocals for the track 'Dhoom Dhaam' from the film 'Action Jackson'.  The music of the film is composed by 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' singer-composer Himesh Reshammiya.

"This is the second time I am working with Himesh Reshammiya. I had previously dubbed the song 'Sheeshe Ka Samundar' for the film 'Xpose'. This time for 'Dhoom Dham' I was just told that the song was romantic and was asked to maintain the feel good spirit while singing," explained the 24 year old. He finished dubbing the song in an hour or so.

His last song 'Kuch Toh Hua Hai' from 'Singham Returns' received mixed responses from audiences. However these things do not bother him much as he has now learnt to take it in his stride. "I think the success of my songs depends on my fans and as an artiste I think I should be prepared for any kind of responses from the people. The people who love me have the right to accept and reject my work," he elaborated.

Tiwari also composed and sung the song 'Dil Darbadar' for the Anushka Sharma and Aamir Khan starrer 'PK'. The lyrics for the song are penned by 'Galliyan' lyricist Manoj Muntashir.  When asked the reason for choosing another singer over him he explained, "I am a singer first and when I am composing, I know the exact emotion required in the song. That is why I choose to sing my songs; as I am involved throughout the entire process, right from the producer's brief till mastering the song."

He prefers to have a lot of time before the release of the song he is composing. "It takes me a month to finish any song, and I always prefer it that way because then I have the time to redub or make changes in the song," he concluded.
