Jaipur Jazz and Blues' prelude concert hosts Company B

MUMBAI: While Jaipur Jazz and Blues Music Festival are slated to be held in October 2019, the organising company, Seher, organised a prelude event, yesterday, which had Company B – a Canadian Vintage Jazz band performing. Held at Lodhi the band comprising of a female trio had its first outing in India.

Seher India founder and director Sanjeev Bhargava said, “We are delighted to introduce the Jaipur Jazz and Blues Festival in India. With this new festival, our aim is to introduce the world of jazz and blues to music lovers. This is our first sneak preview of the upcoming festival and we appreciate the efforts of UNESCO and Rajasthan Tourism for helping us to put this festival together.”

The prelude concert was organised in association with the High Commission of Canada, Air Canada and British Columbia. It provided a glimpse of the talent one can expect at the upcoming festival.

The Jaipur Jazz and Blues Music Festival 2019 will have UNESCO and Rajasthan Tourism also on board as of the organisers. It will be the biggest Jazz Festival to be held India and aims to bring Jazz and blues genre closer to Indian audiences, thus taking this rare form of music to the Indian music goers.
