Justin Timberlake returns with new single 'Suit and Tie'

MUMBAI:  After six years, 31- year-old Grammy award winning singer Justin Timberlake released his new single, 'Suit and Tie', also featuring rapper Jay-Z, on 13 January . The song is the first release of Timberlake's forthcoming album, The 20/20 Experience due to be out later this year.  The single under Sony Music is available on iTunes Store. Hugh Jackman wins musical best actor

MUMBAI: Australian actor Hugh Jackman won the Golden Globe for best actor in a musical or comedy Sunday for his all-singing role in musical adaptation "Les Miserables." Jackman beat fellow nominees Jack Black in "Bernie," Bradley Cooper in "Silver Linings Playbook," Ewan McGregor in "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" and Bill Murray in "Hyde Park on Hudson." In his acceptance speech, Jackman -- praised for his vocal skills in the movie -- revealed that he almost gave up the starring role of Jean Valjean only a few weeks before it started filming.

AIR to commence webcast of news along with FM Gold shortly

NEW DELHI: Webcasting of news of All India Radio along with FM Gold is expected to commence within the next month or two. Simultaneously, All India is also commencing webcast of its Urdu service which has been very popular with the listeners. Asked about the budget for webcasting news along with FM Gold, AIR Director General L D Mandloi told Radioandmusic.com that AIR already had the necessary infrastructure in place for this.

All India Radio ropes students as broadcasters

MUMBAI: With constant innovations up their sleeves, All India Radio is ensuring all its stations move ahead in 2013 with unique strategies. Its Manjeri station in Kerala has gone down the path of change by employing student broadcasters for its programmes. The station has selected a team of 26 students from across eight higher secondary schools in the Malappuram district.
