Indian audience is very receptive, curious, careful and dynamic: Erik Truffaz

MUMBAI: The famous French Jazz Trumpeter Erik Truffaz is all set to rock India soon. The Trumpeter has collaborated with electronic composer Riatsu and percussionist Anand Bhagat along with famous instruments player Neil Gomes for his performance at Bonjour Festival 2017. For his Mumbai’s show, he will be seen doing a special act along with India’s famous jazz star and keyboard player Louiz Banks.

Erik has had a long association with the farmer’s land and will be again seen spreading his magic.

Talking about his collaboration with electronic musician Riatsu, Anand Bhagat, and Neil Gomes, he said, “We have composed music specifically for this collaboration. So this is a unique performance, with fantastic young musicians.  It was great to work with them, I really enjoyed the time I've spent with Riatsu, Neil Gomes, and Anand Bhagat, it was creative and there was a lot of love, Riatsu is very creative and intelligent.”

Erik took an inspiration from his father of starting a career in the music space.

The trumpeter will be collaborating with some young Indian musicians where he will have a borderline musical performance with minimalist music, rock and jazz with lots of contrasts.

He feels that Bonjour India enables artistic collaborations and develop dialogue and interactions between France and India, which is important.

Truffaz’s India tour will be mostly a metro concentrated one and will be covering cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Goa.

The artiste will soon be working on a project which will be a tribute to Gregorian Chant. He will be writing for the vocalists there. He is also coming up with an album with famous DJ Kenny Larkin.
