The Ash Chandler Redux is a celebration of music and life and will keep you guessing: Ash Chandler

MUMBAI: Singer-composer Ash Chandler is gearing for his debut musical performance at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA). Titled The Ash Chandler Redux, the show, which is slated to be held on 3 March 2019 at Tata Theatre, is anticipated be a musical night to remember.
 
Speaking about his upcoming act, The Ash Chandler Redux at NCPA, Ash says, “It is a night of some of the greatest songs of the last 100 years completely rearranged alongside some iconic Jazz Standards.”
 
“It is a celebration of music and life and will keep you guessing,” he adds, when asked about any key highlight of his performance.
 
Further commenting on his association with NCPA, Ash Chandler says, “Although I've performed as an actor in plays at the NCPA, this is my first show there as me. It's very exciting to be asked to play that hallowed stage where so many legends have treaded. NCPA is a temple of culture. It's been great fun performing at the venue.”
 
On being asked about his upcoming projects, Ash reveals, “I am writing two stage shows at the moment and taking The Ash Chandler Redux on tour soon.”
 
India is currently struck with indie music. On being asked, how does he see the future of this genre in a country dominated by Bollywood music, he exclaims, “There is enough of everything. Scarcity is a myth. There is an audience for anything in India. The digital playground is for everyone now.”
 
Meanwhile, Ash will croon iconic as well as latest songs, backed by musicians, who will add classic jazz/swing styles to it.
