I have no enmity with anyone: Parmish Verma

MUMBAI: It was heartbreaking for the Punjabi sensation Parmish Verma fans when he was shot by some unidentified men last month. Later, the fans were informed about his stable health conditions but they desperately waited to see him.

Finally, the singer made his appearance on social media posing with a walker and his dog. Along with this, he also broke the silence behind his attack and a message for his fans.

Since the attack day, 14 April 2018, there were various incidences that took place until Parmish revealed the true story on his social media account.

He began by thanking his fans for the love and support and notified, “Sat Sri Akal, I am truly humbled by the love and concern you have shown me over the past few weeks. I deeply appreciate it. I am feeling much better now.”

He then revealed the attack details. “There is something I wanted to clear the air about. The incident that took place was purely a threat for extortion. I have no enmity with anyone. I have never been involved directly or indirectly with people I am falsely being associated with by certain media and social media channels.”

After the incidence, many families and communities were blamed. In support of those families Parmish stated, “It is my heartfelt appeal to not drag anyone's family or any of their family members into this. Families are valued and treasured by everyone alike. It can be extremely tormenting for a family to go through times like these. Please do not treat them unjustly. I don't want any family to endure what my family has. I pray no other mother suffers like mine has.”

The singer was receiving ransom calls which he did not give much attention to. On 14 April he was shot along with his friend Kulwant Singh Chahal when they were returning from an event late night in Mohali. After the incidence, a man named Dilpreet Singh Khalsa posted a video and a picture on Facebook confessing that he is the one who attacked Parmish. As per the video, he took this step because Parmish provoked him to face him, instead of making calls.

While the police were investigating about the Facebook post, they acknowledged that the account was handled by a few youths from Punjab and abroad. Also, tracing calls was not possible as it was a Whatsapp call.

On a concluding note he said, “I am extremely grateful to you for your prayers, your love and your patience. I hope to return amongst you really soon, fit enough to entertain. Thank you for all your love and support. It means everything to me.”
