Hard Kaur pays tribute to Indian soldiers with 'Lehra Tiranga'

MUMBAI: The ‘Zallim Dilli’ hitmaker Hard Kaur known for raps and hip-hop songs has this time come up with a patriotic song for the Indian Soldiers who are on duty, 24X7, for us. Generally, patriotic songs release during Republic Day or Independence Day, but Hard Kaur’s new song ‘ Lehra Tiranga’ releases today, 14 January 2017.

Hard Kaur is known for hip-hop songs but has more to offer to the music industry. “I've worked on many non-party tracks in the past years like ‘Ga Ga Ganpati’, ‘Kattey’, ‘Sherni’, etc. I know that one gets typically stereotyped into a box but I've proved again and again that I'm not just a one-dimensional artist. AND WHY NOT A Patriotic track. The Jawan's of our country work very hard to protect us day and night, through extreme weather conditions so it's the least I can do. We make music and that's what we do. So, Sonny Ravan and I decided to release the track as a 'Thank You' to our soldiers.”

Since one cannot personally go and thank the soldiers for the sacrifices that they make for us, Kaur felt expressing it through a song was best. “This is our way of telling them, we love them and inspire them as they inspire us. We hope these words will make them proud and give birth to more amazing soldiers on our soil. Without them we can never do what we are doing,” she added.

Slowly and steadily Hard Kaur is seen moving from singing to composing, but she begs to differ. She believes to be a multitasker as she can rap, sing, write, compose and also do non-music related things. She also states that be it Bollywood tracks or her own songs, she has always been doing her bit of composition.

This singer-music composer is also a speedy music creator. She has a line-up of songs waiting for the right time to be released. Kaur feels that the industry, in general, may not be ready for her songs, but she is here to back them. Thus, the singer will be releasing these songs under her music label Future Records.

Furthermore, while most artist fight for limelight 'Char Baj Gaye' singer is an advocate of sharing it. 'Lehra Tiranga' is the best example of this. Only the mid-part of the single is sung by Kaur, while the rest of it has Bhavik Dhanak's voice, who according to her has an amazing voice.

On encouraging new talent Kaur says, “Being a composer/music director gives you an opportunity to work with fresh artists or just create something classic with an already known artist. Some other artists I work very close with are Jubin Nautiyal, Mayur, Satinder and Apeksha Dandekar.”

The nobel singer is not expecting much from Bollywood at the moment, as independent space is keeping her happy. Her next independent project is a qawwali and she is eagerly waiting for it.
