Govt. wants suggestions from stakeholders for topics of discussion at Sixth Community Radio Sammellan

New Delhi: The Information and Broadcasting Ministry today invited suggestions from operators of community radio stations for suggestions on topics for discussion at the three-day National Community Radio (CR) Sammelan of operational CRS for this year. The sixth National Community Radio Sammelan will be organized in March this year.

One of the recommendations of fifth CR Sammelan was that suggestions should be obtained from operational CRS regarding themes/issues/topic to be discussed in the Sammelan and the corresponding panellists for them.

The aim is to make the Sammelan more engaging and transparent and so all stakeholders have been asked to suggest the overall theme of Sammelan and sub-themes which they would like to be included in the agenda of the forthcoming National Sammelan and speakers/experts who they feel are most suitable for this.

Each station can suggest one overarching theme and a maximum of 3 sub-themes centred around this overarching theme, and one speaker for each sub-theme. The speakers should only be from operational CR stations, stakeholders, and concerned ministries/departments.

On the basis of suggestions received, the agenda of the Sammelan and panellists will be finalized by the Ministry.

Suggestions have to be sent in the proforma on the Information and Broadcasting Ministry website mib.nic.in by 20 January at: crscellmoib@nic.in. Feedback received after this date will not be considered.
