Prospective auctioneers of FM Phase III asked to sign Integrity Pacts

NEW DELHI: With the pace for the auction of Phase III of FM Radio picking up, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry has asked all applicants who have sent a Request for Proposal for conducting the auction, to sign the Integrity Pact today.

The authorised signatory has to sign along with two witnesses. This will be sent as a separate annexure to the RFP sent earlier.

After several months of delay, the Government had in late April invited Request for Proposal (RFP) for selection of agency for conducting e-auction of FM channels in FM Radio Phase-III for 839 channels in 294 cities.

The bidders had been invited in two parts: technical and financial. The proforma detailing requirements has been placed on the website of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry which says that the bids were to be submitted by 20 June.

The bids should contain both Technical and Financial bids separately sealed, and complete in all respects along with the Eligibility Criteria Format and the Power of Attorney for the Authorised signatory should be submitted in a third sealed cover.

The auctions will be on the basis of the detailed guidelines which had been issued on 25 July 2011.
