Lily Allen writing book inspired by self-help tome

MUMBAI: Singer Lily Allen is writing a book inspired by self-help tome.

Allen has been inspired to take to writing after reading American writer-and-director Nora Ephron's collection of self-help essays 'I Feel Bad About My Neck: And Other Thoughts on Being a Woman'," reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Released in 2006, the tome sees the ‘When Harry Met Sally’ screenwriter share nuggets of wisdom she has accumulated throughout her life, such as "never marry a man you wouldn't want to be divorced from" and "when your children are teenagers, it's important to have a dog so that someone in the house is happy to see you".

The 31-year-old, is now aiming to create her own guide to life based on her own experiences.

"I read Nora Ephrons 'I feel bad about my neck' today. It inspired me to start writing a book, I've been writing solidly for three hours eureka moment," she posted on her Twitter account on Wednesday.
