Metallica concert postponed to Saturday

MUMBAI: Highly awaited American heavy metal band Metallica's concert scheduled for today in Gurgaon has been postponed for a day due to technical reasons. After the announcement that the concert had been cancelled, angry fans were seen trying to damage equipment near the stage; some tried to set fire to banners near the stage, said witnesses. However, some people present at the Leisure Valley venue blamed it on the chaotic conditions there.

Rahman & Ranbir to perform live at 'Rockstar Concert'

MUMBAI: For the first time ever, Mozart of Madras AR Rahman will perform a live concert to promote his upcoming musical movie Rockstar on Tuesday 1 November in Mumbai. The two time academy winner will be accompanied by actor Ranbir Kapoor, director Imtiaz Ali, co-star Nargis Fakhri, singer Mohit Chauhan, Ranjit Barot (Music arranger) and percussion guru Sivamani. AFTRA, Musician Union raises concern over SiriusXM proposal

MUMBAI: The American Federation of Television & Radio Artistes (AFTRA) and the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) have stated that SiriusXM has proposed â€?direct license' deal, that will allow satellite radio SiriusXM to pay 100 percent of royalties to the labels making recouping of royalties difficult for artistes. If approved the artiste who want royalties will have to file a claim with the labels in order to be paid.
