Dangal's 'Gilehriyaan' - a girly take on teen life

MUMBAI : Want to know what a girl experiences in her teenage life? The new track ‘Gilehriyaan’ from Amir Khan’s movie Dangal song sets the perfect example.

Bollywood has come up with a bunch of movies and songs that talk about teenage life but none could explain the journey of a teenage girl better than the Dangal song staring Geeta Phogat, which depicts the feeling of a girl when she experiences freedom for the first time. Here Geeta is experiencing the butterflies in her stomach during her wrestling training.

Interestingly, even as the movie revolves around the boy's point of view, the song brings girly emotions to the fore.

The song expresses sentiments a girl passes through when she meets new friends and also when attracted towards a person. It also shows a beginning of differences between a father and daughter, as children start asserting themselves at this age.

Jonita Gandhi’s soulful voice has given Amitabh Bhatacharya’s lyrics and Pritam’s composition the right contours. This song might take you back to teenage life and refresh your memories.
