Lakshay Mohan and Aayush Mohan collaborate with Barry Phillips for a Musical Tour

MUMBAI: Lakshay Mohan and Aayush Mohan, Grand Disciples of Late Pt. Ravi Shankar Ji, team up with Barry Phillips to enthral the music lovers with their upcoming event called- ‘The Golden Symphony’. This event scheduled at Delhi on July 23 is part of a three-leg musical tour; planned at Bangalore and Mumbai on July 29 and August 03 respectively.

The talented duo, recently nominated for the prestigious GIMA Award 2016 for Sitar – Sarod, would collaborate along with acclaimed American Cellist Barry Phillips to perform in three cities and display the confluence of Indian and Western Classical Music.

This musical tour will give a grand voyage to their dreams. They are excited to bring in a blend of fusion music and showcase an unusual combination of fine Indian classical raga and western compositions.

Previously they have earned a lot of accolades on Indian Music Circuit which includes their notable performances at Gunidas Sangeet Sammelan, Mumbai, Saptak Festival, RIMPA Festival at Ravi Shankar Centre, New Delhi, Taj Mahotsav, Agra, Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Kolkata, Ganga Mahotsav, Varanasi, All Bengal Music Conference, Kolkata, Bharat Bhawan, Bhopal.

Protégés of Lt. Bharat Ratna Pt. Ravi Shankar, their performance at ‘The Grammy Museum’, Los Angeles, USA on the occasion of their Guru’s 95th birth Anniversary specifically stands out. This performance particularly is rated very highly among the classical music enthusiasts.
