Andras Berta joins EXIT Festival as International Marketing Director

MUMBAI: Festival-marketing expert Andras Berta recently joined Serbia’s EXIT festival team as their new International Marketing Director, gearing up for the festivals 20th Anniversary celebrations in 2021.

Berta previously worked for Sziget between 2010 and 2017, in charge of the international marketing, PR and ticketing of the Budapest-based festival. Since 2016 he is also the leader of Yourope’s marketing and communication platform, the EMAC Group. His main focus at EXIT will be the Serbian promoter’s main event (EXIT Festival), but he will also work with the company’s other festivals, such as Sea Star (Croatia), Sea Dance (Montenegro) and No Sleep (Belgrade, Serbia).

The 42 year-old Hungarian has worked with several events in the last few years, always with the aim to increase international brand-awareness and subsequently the ticket sales. He’s known to put much effort into an efficient workflow, creating harmony between communication and ticket sales, while he’s also active in building international networks, working closely with agencies in several countries to find the right positioning of events in the given markets.

Says Andras Berta, International Marketing Director, EXIT:

“It’s an honour to join EXIT, since it’s clearly one of the most famous festivals of the world. For me personally it’s also very important that this event is far more than ‘just’ a festival. Understanding the deep social engagement of EXIT is something you can only do once you join them. So, I’m here for a reason and arrived with clear plans and expectations, but also with a lot of respect. I think we all need to adapt to the ‘new normal’ and we don’t really know how festival marketing can cope with all the restrictions we’re facing these days. But we’re also looking at 2021 as the new beginning, which gives us lots of energy to explore new ways. Long story short: it’s definitely a huge challenge and I’m looking forward to my new role at EXIT!“

The celebration of the 20th anniversary of the EXIT Festival will be held from July 8th to 11th, 2021 at the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, Serbia, with performances by David Guetta, DJ Snake, Tyga, Eric Prydz, Paul Kalkbrenner, Nina Kraviz, Boris Brejcha, Four Tet, Sheck Wes, Solomun, Sepultura, Metronomy, Honey Dijon, and many more. Exit’s Sea Star festival will take place on May 28th and 29th at Umag, Croatia and is headlined by Cypress Hill, Amelie Lens, Meduza and Dubioza Kolektiv.
