Big FM, Jackie Bhagnani ask Delhiites to quit smoking

NEW DELHI: Actor Jackie Bhagnani, whose film Kal Kissne Dekha... has been held up because of the multiplex imbroglio spearheaded among others by the actor's father Vashu Bhagnani, has requested 100 smokers from Delhi to quit smoking.

The plea by the actor on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day was part of Big FM Delhi's Sutta Chhoro, Kal Kisne Dekha Hai Campaign' to emphasise the hazards of smoking and spread awareness about healthy living.

To promote the same on-air, Big FM, will air Jackie's views on smoking. Apart from airing the views of Big FM RJs, listeners will also be given an opportunity to share their views on smoking.

Acknowledging that smoking is one of the ills and the society needs to get together and fight against the same, Big FM intends to re-instate this campaign in the future with new faces.

According to Big FM Delhi station director Ashwin Padmanabhan, Smoking not only affects the health of the smoker but also his/her family and friends. Through this campaign, we aim to motivate people to quit smoking and opt for a healthy living. Our campaign would stress on bringing out the truth about the ill effects of smoking. At Big FM it is our constant endeavor to highlight on the key social issues, which demand the society's attention. We are confident that this campaign, with the support of our listeners, would make a positive impact in the society and make this city a better place to live....

Kal Kissne Dekha... introducing Jackie Bhagnani with Manmohan Desai's grand-daughter Vaishali Desai along with Rishi Kapoor and directed by Vivek Sharma, had been slated for release on 24 April, but was held up.
