Fever FM gathers pace in B'lore, Delhi and Mumbai

MUMBAI: Week 23 turned out to be a mixed bag for Fever FM. The radio station consolidated its position in the cities of Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai though it had a poor show in Kolkata where it lost massively. Similarly, Radio City also gained strides in Delhi and Bangalore but lost grip in Mumbai. Let's take a look at the radio stations' performance in the four metros:      

Bangalore - Last week's gainer Big FM lost 0.1 points this week, ending the week with a market share of 19.5 per cent. Radio Mirchi featured next in the number game gaining 0.1 points and notching a market share of 17.4 per cent. Fever and Radio City both gained 0.2 points to capture the third and fourth position ending with a market share of 15.5 and 12.6 per cent respectively. AIR FM Rainbow maintained its status quo with a market share of 9.6 per cent. Radio One which gained considerable strides last week, slipped in week 23 with 0.1 points ending with a market share of 8.8 per cent.

Delhi - In the capital, Radio Mirchi maintained its numero uno position gaining 0.3 points leaving its competitors far behind to end with a market share of 24.9 per cent. Fever FM followed next gaining 0.1 points and taking home a share of 18.9 per cent. AIR FM Gold incurred massive loss losing a considerable 0.5 points ending with a market share of 17.3 points. Red FM maintained the status quo with a market share 9.6 points. Radio City came next losing 0.1 points followed by Big FM which also maintained the status quo with  a market share of 7 per cent.

Kolkata - The week saw a huge dip in the ratings for many stations in the city. Radio Mirchi maintained its top position gaining 0.1 points to end with a market share of 20.7 per cent. Big FM increased its market share to 17.9 per cent after gaining a considerable 0.4 points. Friends FM in the third spot lost a significant 0.3 points ending with a market share of 11.2 followed by Amar FM which came a close next with 10.9 per cent. Fever FM slipped considerably in the city, losing a whopping 0.7 points to end with a share of 8.2 per cent. Radio One came in next, gaining 0.4 points taking away a pie of 5.8 per cent of the market. Meow FM also lost 0.4 points.

Mumbai - Week 23 did not paint a very rosy picture for Mumbai as well with most of the station losing considerable points. Last week's gainer Radio Mirchi lost 0.3 points in the city to end with a market share of 17.2 per cent. Red FM which came next maintained its status quo with a share of 14.1 per cent. Radio City, Big FM and AIR FM Gold all lost 0.1 points to end with a share of 13.2, 11.6 and 11.3 per cent respectively. Fever FM followed next with a gain of 0.2 points. Radio one also inched further with a gain of 0.1 points and ending with a market share of 6.6 per cent.
