RAM Wk 49/10: AIR stations rally in Mumbai, Bangalore

MUMBAI: AIR stations, which had lost maximum share combined across Bangalore, Mumbai and Kolkata in the previous week, have bounced back in Mumbai and Bangalore per Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 49 (28 Nov-4 Dec /10) across all people 12+ at all places of listening. In Mumbai, AIR FM Gold and FM1 Rainbow gained 2.4% and 1.3% share respectively, while in Bangalore, AIR FM Rainbow and Vividh Bharti gained 1.8% and 1.5% share respectively.

Key gains and losses in the 4 metros were:

Gains:

(1)   Mumbai: AIR FM 2 Gold (2.4%), AIR FM1 Rainbow (1.3%), Vividh Bharti (0.6%), Radio City (0.5%), Big FM (0.4%)

(2)   Delhi: Akashvani (0.9%), Red FM (0.6%), Big FM (0.5%), AIR FM Rainbow (0.4%), Radio One (0.2%)

(3)   Kolkata: Big FM (0.6%), AIR FM 2 Gold (0.5%), Red FM (0.3%), Radio Mirchi (0.2%)

(4)   Bangalore: AIR FM 1 Rainbow (1.8%), AIR FM Vividh Bharti (1.5%), Red FM (0.3%)

Losses:

(1)   Mumbai: Radio Mirchi (1.5%), Radio One (1.4%), Fever FM (0.8%), Red FM (0.8%), Akashvani (0.4%), Oye FM (0.3%)

(2)   Delhi: Vividh Bharti (1%), Fever FM (0.5%), Radio Mirchi (0.4%), Oye FM (0.2%), AIR FM 2 Gold (0.2%)

(3)   Kolkata: Fever FM (0.6%), Radio One (0.4%), AIR FM 1 Rainbow (0.3%), Power FM (0.2%)

(4)   Bangalore: Radio Mirchi (1.2%), Radio One (1%), Big FM (0.7%), Radio Indigo (0.6%), Fever Fm (0.2%)
