Fever rises in Delhi

MUMBAI:  In a week when most stations maintained their status quo, and Mirchi and Big kept snapping at each other's heels in Bangalore and Kolkata respectively, it was Fever that inched up towards number one position in the capital.

Not that Mirchi which lost a bit in week nine, according to RAM data, is about to give up its leadership position in any of the three metros it rules, easily. Despite slipping slightly in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata, Mirchi continues to rule the roost in three of the four metros that RAM monitors.

Bangalore: Big FM stayed unchanged in Bangalore this week, content with its share of 19.5 per cent of the market. But Mirchi climbed up 0.8 percentage points to end the week with a share of 17.2 per cent. Fever slipped 0.1 points too to end with a share of 15.2 per cent, and Radio City followed with a share of 12.2 per cent, registering a drop of 0.4 percentage points. Red FM that recorded a healthy climb of 0.8 points, ended the week with a share of 8.9 per cent.

Delhi: Leader Mirchi slipped 0.7 points during the week, ending with a share of 23.3 per cent, still ahead of Fever that climbed 0.5 points and ended second with a share of 18.9 per cent. AIR FM Gold was a close third with a share of 17.8 per cent. Red FM was a poor third despite climbing 1 point, ending with a share of 9.7 per cent, City coming close behind it with a share of 8.7 per cent.


Kolkata:
Big FM gained 0.5 points in Kolkata to end with a share of 16.6 per cent, but still ended second behind leader Mirchi which lost 0.1 points and came home with a share of 20.3 per cent of the market. Friends FM lost 0.3 points and Aamar lost 0.1 points - Friends ended with a share of 13.2 per cent and Aamar had a share of 10.5 per cent. Red FM followed closely with a share of 8.5 per cent. Fever came in with a share of 7.7 per cent.

Mumbai: All the top five stations in Mumbai slipped this week. Mirchi lost 0.1 points and ended with a share of 17.2 per cent, ahead of Red FM that too lost 0.1 points and ended with a share of 14.3 per cent. Radio City came in third with a share of 13.4 per cent, and Big FM had a share of 11.7 per cent. Fever  was next wtih a share of 11.4 per cent.
