After Siddharth Anand's Salaam Namaste, Ta Ra Rum Pum and Bachna Ae Haseeno, it's time for Anjaana Anjaani, his next endeavor with his favourite composers Vishal and Shekhar.

The duo's last outing with I Hate Luv Storys was a commercial musical chartbuster. This definitely raises the audience expectations from the romantic comedy, Anjaana Anjaani that has roped in nine lyricists and some great voices to create that spark.

In most albums, there are at an average five songs. However, in this film there are seven full length songs with a couple of remixes that truly justifies the musical tag that it has lent to itself.

The album kicks off with the high-spirited title score, 'Anjaana Anjaani Ki Kahani' written by lyricist Neelesh Misra. Describing it in the simplest way, it's a typical â€?Disco Dancer' song. The fresh voices of Nikhil D'souza and Monali Thakur successfully add the zing and the needed â€?enthusiasm' quotient to the track. Monali makes a good switch from the seductive â€?Zara Zara Touch Me' to this groovy track  The score seems like a good meeting ground as it blends a few English lines with Hindi poetry. Though it sounds young and catchy, this club song doesn't turn out to be an instant favourite with the listener at the very first go. However, once heard a couple of times you might develop a liking for it. The dance number is likely to gain popularity on Bollywood Nights' at most of the clubs as it has a bit of retro feel with the beats that compel you to shake a leg to it.

It is a pleasant surprise to see Lucky Ali once again behind the mic for 'Hairat'. The singer known for his soulful but strikingly simple ballad-style singing was last heard singing for Vishal Shekher's in Bachna Ae Haseeno. Written by Vishal Dadlani, Hairat is a fast-paced love song about how every moment of life becomes beautiful and worthwhile when you are accompanied by the one you love. In spite of being 52, Ali still gets the right kind of mood and energy for the song. It is always a pleasure to hear his refreshing voice. If you have had an overdose of Mohit Chauhan, Aatif or Shaan, give a listen to Ali's song, it's a good change for one's ears. Vishal and Shekhar have done a good job by lending the track enjoyable foot-tapping music. The track is definitely the â€?chartbuster' material.

Dhundhla jaayein jo manzilein, Ik pal ko tu nazar jhuka, Jhuk jaaye sar jahan wahi, Milta hai rab ka raasta…….' 'Aas Pass Khuda' fills you with some positivity by giving an assurance that khuda is always there with you. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan makes a grand entry with high energy in his original Sufiana style. With Rahat, you know that you are on a slow subtle ride that gives you some wisdom. Vishal Dadlani has once again donned the hat of a lyricist while Shekhar adds to the chorus. However, listen to the unplugged version of this track as it might work better for you. Rahat is supported by Shruti Pathak for this track. Shruti's melancholic husky voice does justice to the song.

The next track takes you into flashback. Go back to those college days full of vigour and fun when guys tried their best to impress a girl with their boyish charm. Simple and youthful, Tumse Hi Tumse' is a track written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and Anvita Dutt. The English lyrics are thrown in by Caralisa Monteiro. Stop there and check the credits list before you make any assumptions on the singer of this modern-day song. It's no one but Shekhar Ravjiani which might surprise you as he doesn't sing frequently. But the song has turned out well. Here is a little piece advice that Shekhar might have for all young chaps. Just take your girl for a cup of coffee on a lazy afternoon, propose her and play this song…..and you don't need to say the rest…….'

Whether it's a â€?deeply in love' or â€?dard-e-judaai' feeling, Mohit Chauhan can give the song just a perfect touch that stirs your heart. After all the bouncy, fun-and-frolic tracks, 'Tujhe Bhula Diya' is a classy track with simple lyrics by Kumaar and Vishal Dadlani. A thumbs up to Shruti Pathak who lends the song a great start. The sufi cum qawwali style interspersed in the chorus of the song makes you add it to your â€?Repeat' playlist. After a slow start, the song suddenly undergoes a transformation and changes its flow. This 4 and a half  minute song even has Shekhar crooning along with Mohit and Shruti. The track also has a remix version which is welcomed. The song definitely bags the â€?Superhit' title amongst all the other songs.

After the above dose of entertainment, the next in the pipeline is â€?I Feel Good' which is a soothing love song with a casual approach. Vishal Dadlani has not just penned down the lyrics for the song but has sung it as well. Shilpa Rao teams up with Vishal for this song which is an addition to the musical album.

Go for the second title track Anjaana Anjaani' which is another love song with a touch of soft rock. Vishal is supported by Shilpa Rao for the second time after I Feel Good'. Kausar Munir is the lyricist for this track with a few lines contributed by Urdu poet Irshad Kamil. The song fits the album well.

To wrap it up, the music score of Anjaana Anjaani is worth a listen. It has groovy club numbers like Hairat and Anjaana Anjaani Ki Kahani as well as soulful songs like Tujhe Bhula Diya that satiates the palette of every music lover. Vishal and Shekhar can definitely pride themselves for coming up with compositions that justify all the tall claims made by the producer and the director of the film.
