MUMBAI: After Sunburn Arena, Percept is all set to launch ‘Sunburn – The Movie’ by August 2013.

Capturing the inimitable experience of one of Asia’s biggest music festivals, Percept Pictures has associated with Viacom 18 and embarked on one of its kind initiative of producing a movie on Sunburn Dance Music Fest. The announcement was made earlier last year.

Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the movie will give more about Sunburn but the storyline is yet to be revealed. ‘Sunburn – The Movie’ will be produced and creatively mentored by director Anurag Kashyap of Phantom Films. The  music which has been the main stay of the festival will be further elevated by composer Amit Trivedi. The movie is shot live during the fest.

Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, Percept Limited joint managing director and Sunburn Inceptor Shailendra Singh said, “Viacom 18, Phantom Films and Percept Pictures are coming together to produce the movie. Anurag Kashyap is the creative director and Vikramaditya Motwane is the director and it will out in August. Shooting is over and it’s editing right now. You can go to cinema and watch it. That is how big the Sunburn brand has become today.”

“Vikramaditya is a very cool guy. I know him very well. He is the only guy who could have done it. He is committed and vibrant and the way he has shot is new age. People like him, Anurag Kashyap and Imtiaz Ali have their thoughts associated with the new era,” Singh expressed.

Singh has by far been successful in creating Indian brand Sunburn across the globe, he said. “It is important to understand Sunburn is an Indian brand that is produced locally and in just few years it has turned out to be a globally sold brand.” To create positive awareness about India Singh in January 2013 had launched a website iammadeinindia.com. “I got 25,000 fans in one month. In this website, we talk positive things about India.”

Currently, Sunburn is organizing arena gigs and Tiesto is its latest EDM sensational artiste. After his blissful performance in Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi Sunburn’s Arena tour season will come to an end.
