Rediff Y&R radio ad makes it to Clio Awards shortlist

MUMBAI: Rediffusion Y&R's advertVandana, for the American India Foundation, is the only Indian entry shortlisted in the Radio category (single entries) for the Clio Awards 2009.
Released in September 2008, the ad has been scripted by Mohamed Rizwan.

Anisha Sarin and Ashutosh Karkhanis have been credited as the executive creative directors while Ramanuj Shastry and Sagar Mahabaleshwarkar are the national creative directors for the ad.

The Clio Awards are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, and will be held mid May.

Among the shortlists announced for this year's honours in various categories, India has managed a tally of 10 shortlisted entries, with agencies like Publicis Ambience, O&M, Leo Burnett and Contract figuring in the list. Publicis Ambience leads the pack with three shortlists, whereas the others have two each. Rediffusion Y&R has managed to get in with one shortlisted entry in the radio category shortlists, just announced 

The number of shortlists from India is far smaller than last year's figures which stood at 18 entries in all.
