Radio City launches in Ahmedabad

MUMBAI:Radio City launched in Ahmedabad this week, making it the station`s second presence in Gujarat after Vadodara.The Ahmedabad station is the station`s ninth launch in the country.Present at the inauguration was Radio City CEO Apurva Purohit and popular theatre and television personality Ketki Dave, who went live on air, chatting up listeners.

The station plans to kick off with a contest `Jeeto Cash Tana-a-Tan` starting 23 July 2007 where 10 listeners can win cash from Rs 500 to Rs 1000 on the spot every day for a month between 4 to 8 PM. These winners will get to meet Radio City RJs and may also get a chance to go on-air.

Radio City plans to regale listeners in Ahmedabad with a host of customized programs and an interesting music mix reflecting the `true sound of Ahmedabad`. The stations plans to bring to the city the best of its flagship shows such as The Radio City Breakfast Show, City Spice, Hum Tum, Radio City Joyride, Yaadein, Love Guru and World Chart Express (countdown show that brings the latest English music on weekends) all hosted by the Radio Jockeys handpicked from Ahmedabad. In addition, it will also feature other popular Radio City properties like Babbar Sher and Kya Baat Kar Raha Hai.Speaking on the occasion, Purohit said, "Ahmedabad is a very important market for us and Radio City is glad to be a part of the lives of its people.
