Himesh keeps date with Mumbai radio stations

MUMBAI: Singer actor Himesh Reshammiya is bound to be a busy man this week. On Tuesday, he had dates with Radio Mirchi, Big FM and Red FM, and on Wednesday he will perform at Planet M, Inorbit Mall in Malad. More pre-Karzzz activities are also likely to be in store.

On Tuesday afternoon, Himesh came to meet and greet the Radio Mirchi contest winners at the Mirchi offices. Karzzzz, his much awaited film after Aap Ka Suroor, has already been in the news for a lot of reasons.

The star, scheduled to make his presence felt at a slew of radio stations and malls over the next few days, arrived on time dressed in a black suit and jeans, showing off his new 'sans cap' look. After the initial interaction with the winners, the singer was interviewed by RJ Jeeturaj in his inimitable style. "Himesh bhai is huge among his fans, it's unbelievable" enthused the energetic RJ.

Taking to the media after the interview, Himesh said, "Please pray that this song controversy gets solved as soon as possible." Apparently, Kulwinder Kally has filed a case in the Punjab High Court against Himesh Reshammiya and lyricist Sameer, accusing the singer of lifting and making changes in the lyrics without his consent. But, does he feel dragged into this case? "I only sang the two songs - Soniye Je Tere and Ek Haseena Thi which Bhushan Kumar wanted to have in the film. I am just a singer and the album does not give me credit as a composer for these songs".

With the Navratri festival starting from Tuesday, a new issue is also taking momentum. Mumbai's premier Navratri organiser Sankalp has decided to drop the Karzzz songs from its roster, not wanting to pay the dues to the IPRS.
However, this may not be beneficial for the star as his film is all set to release on 17 October and since Dandiya events assure popularity, ths may not be good news for Reshammiya. "This will not make any difference to Bhushanji, but if my songs are not played at events like Dandiya, it will certainly have an effect somewhere." The singer also has something for Ramadan in this album "We will be including the song 'Mashallah' in the future promo's - thats our Ramadan special."

The star sang a acapella version of Tandoori Nights and Mashallah for those present at the event.
