MUMBAI: Facebook will offer its member a chance to listen and chat about music through a new app provided by �Myxer Social Radio' an online music streaming service.

The app will be available for free download later this year, wherein users can log in and sync with their friends by creating virtual room. The music streaming service allows anyone in the room with an opportunity to listen, chat about the song and record a 'Song Story,' (30-second video explaining what the song means to them).

Myxer CEO Myk Willis said, "We see this as an opportunity to bring people together through music and enhance the experience of music through social content. No matter where your friends may be, the app can bring people and music together. By adding social context to music with features such as Song Stories, it's like hearing songs for the first time through someone else's ears. This is more about strengthening social connections with real friends than a tool that will be used to meet new people.
