Delhi CM Sheila Dixit unveils Tere Sang's music

MUMBAI: Delhi CM Sheila Dixit unveiled the music of Satish Kaushik's film on teen pregnancy titled Tere Sang on 15 July, 2009. The film's music is given by debutant Sachin & Jigar and is scheduled to release on 7th August.

Speaking about the film, Kaushik said, Though the topic revolves around is very serious, real and carries a message about the influence, physical relationship at teen age and about the complexities. It deals with child-pregnancy...  The film stars Ruslaan Mumtaz â€?MP3-Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar' fame and yesteryear's actor Sadana Singh daughter Sheena.

Apparently, few months back, the music of the film was caught in an controversy after Anu Malik filed a case against Satish Kaushik over the music of Teree Sang – the fall out happened when Satish Kaushik decided to rope in composers Sachin and Jigar to work on the songs which Malik was against. News reports later mentioned that the legal battle ended soon as the two resolved matter amicably. However, trouble doesn't end there as critics believe Tere Sang has similar story line as Oscar winning Ellen Page starrer Juno which also revolves around the topic of teenage pregnancy. The filmmaker, however, denies that his film is a copy and that he wrote Tere Sang much before Juno hit the theatres in 2007.

Besides Sachin & Jigar, the film includes songs by Anu Malik and Bappi Lehari. Singers Shaan, Anmol Malik, Master Salem, Raja Hasaan and Sumedha have given voice to the songs, whereas, the  
the lyrics are written by Pritam and Virag Mishra. The film is produced under the banner of Karol Bagh films and is produced by Bharat Shah and co-produced by Satish Kaushik and Anupam Kher. Satish Kaushik will also be acting along with Sushmita Mukherjee, Rajat Kapoor, Neena Gupta and Anupam Kher in a special appearance. The music is released under Pen Audio.
