Converse Original Band Hunt culminates in Delhi

MUMBAI: The Backdoor Blues' band has emerged winner of the Delhi leg of Converse Original Band Hunt 2010 undertaken by youth brand Converse 

The band hunt show,  which culminated on 30 October at Ansal Plaza amphitheatre, Delhi,  saw Ameya bag the first runner-up and On Govt Duty win the second runners-up trophy 

Ten shortlisted bands competed live against one another. The seven other bands in the 10-band lineup were Middle Finger Theory, Kaash, Prithivi, Amethyst, Antardhavani and Bull Engine.

The event was judged by Them Clones, a leading rock band with over 1000 shows to their credit.

The winner of the contest will get a chance to feature on the Converse Original Music CD 

Converse has undertaken this initiative for amateur bands and avid original music lovers to enable them to showcase their talent. This hunt will be held across key cities in India, over a series of rounds. The entries will be scanned and shortlisted by a panel of judges from the music fraternity
