Radio City 91.1FM's Whatte Fun Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations

MUMBAI: Ushering in the celebrations as �Ganpati Bappa Morya' visits the lives of one and all this year, Radio City 91.1FM is amplifying the joyousness of the season with its Ganesh Chaturthi festivities. The Whatte Fun station is set to splash the festive spirit across the cities of Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Nagpur, Surat, Vadodara and Ahmednagar as Radio Cityzens congregate to join in the celebrations.

Encouraging Mumbai's Radio Cityzens to bring home eco-friendly Ganesha murtis, Mumbai's Radio City 91.1FM is celebrating the city's most beloved festival with Bol Pandal Bol - a contest to choose the best and the most environmentally friendly Ganpati. Associating with Giants International and Nana Chudasama's �I love Mumbai' Campaign, Mumbai's Radio City will visit and showcase pandals across Mumbai to identify the most eco-friendly ones which will be judged by a host of Celebrity Judges. The listener who predicts which of these pandals wins Bol Pandal Bol by housing the most eco-friendly Ganpati, stands to win mega prizes courtesy Radio City. Joining in as Associate Partners for �Dance Ganesh Visarjan' Radio City will capture all the action on Mumbai's most innovative Visarjans all across the city. RJ's Harssh and Archana will join in the procession with top DJ's, fire dancers, stilt walkers, 40,000 watts of electronic music, laser lights and fire works from the Mahalakshmi temple up to the Hinduja House on September 12, 2008.

Pune's Radio City 91.1FM has joined hands with Pune's Kesari Wada Ganpati Mandal one of the oldest, most respected and prestigious Ganesha Mandals managed by the Lokmanya Tilak family and home to Pune's Manache Ganpati. Pune's Radio City will bring Punekars day long updates, proceedings of the �aarti', historical anecdotes, changing trends and all trivia on Pune's �Manache Ganapati'. Spreading the message of keeping Pune clean, the FM station is also supporting Pune's Rotary Club in its cleanliness drive as Club members collect the �Nirmalaya' on the 7th and 10th day of the immersion.

Bengalurina Radio City 91.1FM, the city's �Total Bangalorean' FM station is the official radio for the Gowri-Ganesh Habbada in Bangalore. As part of the Habba, �Whatte Fun Mornings' on Sept 3 will feature the city's most renowned astrologer Mr. S.K. Jain, LIVE on-air to interact with listeners. The FM station is also hosting a Kadabu (modak) eating competition where Bangalore's most favourite RJs visit Ganesha Pandals all across Bangalore and challenge listeners to eat the maximum kadabus (modaks) in 91.1 seconds. Saluting Ganesha – the remover of obstacles, the city's â€?Whatte Fun' station in Nagpur, Surat, Vadodara and Ahmednagar will feature an on-air â€?Facts vs. Myths' contest beginning September 15  This mythological contest revolving around the 8 Ashthavinayakas will come to a closure with Radio Cityzens getting the opportunity to win hi-value goodies courtesy Radio City.
