MUMBAI: Radio Misty 94.3 fm the first and Number one fm station of North Bengal celebrated this Durga Puja with focus to enviornment.Radio Misty in association with Siliguri Horticultural society awarded the best Durga Puja to central colony Durga puja committee. Second Prize was given to winners club whereas third prize went to Baghajatin Park Durga Puja committee .A team of judges comprising from different walk of life went to puja pandals in and around Siliguri to take note of arrangements.

Pujor Thek(get together) was organised by Zimpu Media in Association with Radio Misty .From Rabindra Sangeet to Bengali Adhunik of the late seventies; Bawaiya Geet to Baul music; Lok Geeti, sitar recital and folk dance — all from Saptami to Dashami. The popular Bangla rock band Ether performed on the evening of Navami and rev up the young crowd.

Says Nishant Mittal, Chief Executive Officer, Radio Misty Radio Misty RJ went to various mandaps. Live links were given from the venue. A buzz was created on air to prompt this event. On Bisarjan live show was conducted where listeners' and Rjs updated about idol immersion. Beside there were lot of Road shows where celebrity RJ asked people questions on puja. Winners were given awards.
