Mirchi, Big battle it out in Bangalore, Kolkata

MUMBAI:  It's a neck to neck fight between Radio Mirchi and Big FM in Kolkata and Bangalore. In Bangalore, Big FM kept up its lead in week 41 with a slim margin over overall metro leader Mirchi, but Radio Mirchi stayed a slight distance ahead of Big in Kolkata. In Delhi, it was AIR's FM Gold station that nearly touched Fever for securing second position, just behind Mirchi. In Mumbai however, Mirchi retained its comfortable lead over Red FM.

Bangalore: Big FM lost 0.5 percentage points to end the week with a share of 19.3 per cent, while Mirchi stayed put at second place with a share of 17.7 per cent. Fever had to be content with third place, having lost 0.5 points and ending the week with a share of 14.9 per cent. Radio City with a share of 11.5 per cent, and AIR FM Rainbow with a share of 10.7 per cent, followed.

Delhi: Mirchi's clear lead stayed in week 41, with a share of 24.3 per cent, despite losing 0.4 percentage points. Fever managed to hang on to the second position despite a loss of 1.3 points, ending the week with  a share of 18 per cent, a small marging over AIR FM Gold which ended the week with a share of 17.7 per cent. Red FM was a distant fourth with a share of 10.2 per cent, despite having gained 0.9 points during the week.

Kolkata: Mirchi lost 1.3 points in Kolkata, but kept its lead with a share of 19.2 per cent, staying ahead of Big FM which had a gain of 0.7 points, ending the week with a share of 18 per cent. Friends FM gained 0.6 percentage points, and ended the week with a share of 13.2 per cent. Aamar FM, Red FM, Fever and Radio One followed.

Mumbai: Mirchi did not gain or lose in Mumbai during the week, ending the week with a share of 19 per cent, ahead of Red FM which closed the week with a share of 14.4 per cent, losing 0.5 points. Radio City climbed 0.9 points, ending the week with a share of 13 per cent. AIR FM Gold came close behind, with a share of 12.5 per cent, having gained 0.5 percentage points.Big FM was close too with a share of 12.4 per cent, and Fever followed with a share of 12.1 per cent.
