9X Jalwa gets a young and vibrant new look

MUMBAI: Music channel 9X Jalwa has revamped itself yet again targeting young audiences with fresh and vibrant colours. The new look, which carries a new tagline 'Forever Young', was unveiled on the channel on 10 June 2014 and includes a fresh playlist and new on-air packaging.

The show reel on the new look of the channel was screened at the recently concluded Goafest 2014. 9X Media SVP and content head Amar Tidke told, "Many of our trade partners were present at Goafest. We felt that unveiling it on that particular platform was an ideal choice as we had a right mix of audiences and partners present. It was a huge on-ground activity which was a special treat for everyone." The channel hosted a Jalwa themed party with Bollywood elements from the amazing photo ops at the red carpet to life size cut-outs of popular actors, and had dance performances and contests, all based on Bollywood.

Talking about the new look, Tidke also added that the channel will play all the popular Bollywood songs from the last two decades. "The channel will have three blocks- Love Forever, Melody Forever and Hits Forever," said Tidke. "Jalwa has received large number of viewers coming in from younger audiences and we have seen them spend a lot of time on Jalwa. We wanted to give them more, so we decided to have packaging that caters to this age group. We have received a positive response from our trade partners on the new look and I am sure that our viewers will also enjoy this music viewing experience."

The channel will also introduce 'Forever Dance', which is dedicated to Bollywood dance numbers.
