Shy FX's latest single 'Call Me' features Maverick Sabre

MUMBAI: Legendary DJ and producer Shy FX, has unveiled his vibrant new video, Call Me, featuring the vocals of BRIT Award nominee, Maverick Sabre, best known for his melancholic ballad, I Need, which had garnered 13 million streams on Spotify. Call Me is the first track lifted from his forthcoming mixtape, Raggamuffin, dropping later this summer.

With a soulful intro utilised by Maverick’s rich and emotive range, Call Me soon bursts into life, with Shy FX delivering a typically explosive bassline, packed with high-tempo drum patterns. The release follows Shy’s recent, Shy FX Presents Cult.ure series, where the producer performed a weekly residency in East London, with a series of special guests including Idris Elba, David Rodigan, Andy C, and Mike Skinner joining Shy FX at the events.

One of the first producers to have culturally paved the way and championed genres that make the underground UK music scene the most diverse in the universe, Shy FX finds routes in the jungle, garage, grime, bass, hip-hop, funk, reggae, bashment and house music. An eclectic curator best known for his Notting Hill Carnival line-ups, previous billings have included the likes of Mark Ronson, Craig David, Lily Allen, Toddla T, Redlight, Breakage and many more.

Following the successful cult.ure event series in February, this summer will see Shy FX delivering his genre-crossing sounds to a number of festivals. His festival line-up includes We Are FSTVL, Parklife, Boomtown, LoveBox, Elrow London, Creamfields, and Outlook, with the acclaimed producer’s cult.ure series set to return in October.
